Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Grant

Erum A. Syed, Chief Administrative Officer of the department, has been awarded a $5,000 Diversity and Innovation Grant. The grants are designed to support the ideas of UC Davis students, faculty, and staff that promote and enhance diversity and inclusion at the University.

Professor Monique Borgerhoff Mulder awarded NSF Grant

National Science Foundation Grant awarded to Koster, Mulder, et al, for $880,000. Project titled: The Effect of Social Networks on Inequality: A Longitudinal Cross-Cultural Investigation

This interdisciplinary research project will examine how people's connections within social networks affect whether they gain or lose wealth over time.

Suzana Sawyer Awarded the Prestigious American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Fellowship

Suzana Sawyer has been awarded the prestigious American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Fellowship for 2017-1018 for her research project “Suing Chevron: Law, Science, and Contamination in Ecuador and Beyond." Founded in 1919, the ACLS is the preeminent representative of American scholarship in the humanities and related social sciences whose endowment is supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Council’s Research University Consortium.
