Anthropology and International Relations double major, Valencia Scott was named one of this year's Marshall Scholars. The prestigious awards finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom.
Scott will begin her graduate studies at Oxford in 2021.

Dr. Naomi L. Martisius, who earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology in 2019, was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholar grant to conduct five months of research in Bulgaria, which she completed at the end of February 2020. She was awarded this funding to conduct an archaeological investigation of the osseous (bone, teeth, and ivory) artifacts at the Middle to Upper Paleolithic site of Bacho Kiro, Bulgaria.
