About

My research centers on evolutionary and functional human anatomy, with a focus on why the modern human skeleton looks and moves the way that it does. While I am curious about the entire skeleton, my area of expertise is the pelvis and lumbar spine, where I investigate patterns of integration and covariation. I also extend this work to the fossil record, examining skeletal morphology in ancient hominins, particularly Homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthals).

Paleoanthropology, Functional morphology, evolutionary morphology, osteometrics, biomechanics, evolutionary obstetrics, 3D geometric morphometrics
